Pastor Joe was born in South Korea, where lived until he was 10 years old, when his family moved to Oklahoma City. In the 8th grade, his family made another move, when his father answered God's calling for ministry in Maryland. Pastor Joe was not considering ministry when he entered college to study engineering, but three years later received a call from God to ministry. Upon graduation, he went to Wesley Theological Seminary to study Divinity. He is currently a lead pastor for the international Ministry at New Hope Church in Maryland, where he's been attending since 8th grade. Pastor Joe is married to his wonderful wife Jamie, and is a father to two beautiful daughters, Esther and Melody.
Starting in 2016, the Message Retreat focused on bringing the Good Message of Jesus Christ to the youth of this generation. We celebrate our 10th year, continuing to believe that the Message of Jesus Christ is the answer.
